I see ass, ass want. I am well and I doubt at this point will change. So, after seeing many positive comments and reviews of this book, I asked Red Circle, who very kindly sent me, so thank you. I enjoyed it very much. A while since I laughed both.
I started reading this novel on Thursday afternoon in Madrid and finished on Saturday at noon in Pamplona. As you see, has lasted me a sigh. It is true that a few persons page 253, but also captures the story from beginning to end. The short chapters, the pace and ever more surprising situations and crazy we do not stop reading. Or at least that is what has happened to me.
I loved the protagonist, Olivia Talia, a 25 year old who just finished his law studies and forced by their parents, preparing for competitive exams are available to Notary. However, in the last minute decides to live his own life, to realize their dreams or at least try to be independent and have freedom, even if that involves fighting with their parents and leave home, giving up the luxuries, the amenities and, most importantly, money from her wealthy family.
For Olivia, but does not like to admit it, is a dick girl who loves to spend money on clothes, accessories and cosmetics while strolling around Madrid riding her Beatle. However, what you do not like a hair is her boyfriend of a lifetime, no forgiveness five years ago, Gonzalo, Gonzalo for friends. Some friends that Olivia can not stand, especially Amparo, a bad Pecora continually released into the jugular Gonzalo.
why Olivia prefers to sacrifice the pay that gives his father, the cook who prepares meals, services of servants and, ultimately, its easy and carefree life for a life away from his family. However, things are not going to be as easy as she thought, especially when he moved to live with her boyfriend in a tiny apartment that does not even fit all the dresses, shoes, handbags, luggage and potions of Olivia.
So, not idle, because Olivia is very clear ideas, no-nonsense and take the bull by the horns, goes to live alone in an apartment. But to his surprise, not alone, because the floor is inhabited by a ghost very peculiar that gives everything but fear.
Gilda, that is how Olivia baptizes the ghost, is mischievous, mischievous, playful and above all, friendly, fun and feminine, very feminine. So much so that, little by little, Gilda becomes the best friend of Olivia and she will share her new life as a student of a school film and their comings and goings with Gonzalo and his classmates who, in spite of weirdos and alternative seem at first, will become your new friends.
But Gilda takes so much confidence that ends up asking a favor Olivia. Although more than a favor would be better to say a difficult mission, risky and almost impossible. But Olivia is very stubborn and when you get something between the eyes does not stop until get it. Why not last face his family, Gonzalo, Amparo and to Gilda's family to achieve their goal.
But, fortunately, will not be alone, as counted with the help of Marina Valdemorillo and Louis, the grandson of Gilda, who will fight to the end to fulfill the mission entrusted to them by the ghost so special not only all over Madrid, but also in Monaco .
And here I can tell, I do not want destriparos nothing else. Just say that the obstacles facing Olivia and Luis are many and varied and, above all, cause funny situations with which at least I could not help but laugh to laugh clean.
However, although the novel itself that is light and even frivolous, I particularly liked the way so casual that has to address more serious issues such as social class differences, family relationships, prejudice, discrimination, the importance of appearances, the fear of rejection or how important it is to know who we are each, who want to be and have the freedom and support to show us as we are, without feeling attacked or excluded.
I can only put one sticks to the novel and is, as usual, the spelling errors. I know I'm very picky with this issue, but I can not stand that a lack, an error, errata or a poorly constructed sentence pushed me out of the story I'm reading. I can not help it. And in this case the problem is the accents, because they have not given virtually no one, removing them and putting them where they should when not playing. In addition, there are expressions as patriarch in place of the matriarch and a misuse of the word ditto, also repeated several times throughout the pages.
Still, I recommend everyone who wants to laugh, unwind, relax and have fun reading this novel that will certainly be a great time sharing it as hilarious and absurd situations in which longer surprise or even scare a coffin found in the ladies room.
